The piano duet ensemble became increasingly popular from the 18th century through to the 20th century, firstly in the home and later in the concert hall. In the 21st century, discover its music and that composers are still writing duets for this versatile and effective ensemble.

Anne & Geoffrey’s distinguished duo partnership has been delighting audiences for over 20 years, performing new works, tutoring pianists in the art of playing duets and embarking on world-reaching tours. They bring to the art form a wealth of experience in accompanying, chamber ensembles and teaching as well as broadcasting and publishing books of their arrangements for piano duet.
Programmes for Recitals can include an energizing mix of familiar favourites and less familiar pieces, newly composed works, items in lighter style and archival repertoire -- suited to individual requirements. Their interpretations are performed with a passion to bring the delights of the piano duet repertoire to as wide an audience as possible - in concert hall, recital room, stately home, museum, Cruise Ship -- for Music Society, entertainment at a private or corporate function, university, school.

As well as original duets, composers’ arrangements for four hands of their own compositions (or those of other notable composers) for other instrumental combinations is a particular interest. Researching and discovering new, and also long-forgotten, repertoire is an integral part of their programming for concerts, which bring the excitement and delights of four hands on one piano.
PIANO DUET DAYS, WEEKENDS & COURSES
Anne & Geoffrey are leading tutors in the field of piano duet performance and interpretation. Piano Duet Days, Weekends and Courses give the opportunity to share or discover an enthusiasm and new repertoire, receive tuition in a masterclass or individual duet/two piano situation, or just observe and relax. They are also keen to promote Piano Duets in Education, visiting schools and universities to give masterclasses and recitals, encouraging the enthusiasm of students playing piano duets for pleasure and also as part of the practical requirements for GCSE and A levels or other practical assessments. Emphasis is not only on serious study but also on enjoyment, enthusiasm and fun.

REPERTOIRE and DISCOVERING COMPOSERS
Anne & Geoffrey are always adding to their Repertoire. Their interest in reviving music from archive has led to the discovery of little - heard or forgotten pieces by well-known and lesser-known composers – Brahms, Chaminade, Czerny, Sydney Smith – and compositions have been written for them and/or dedicated to them – John Carmichael, Edmund Jolliffe, Brian Chapple, Philip Buttall.
Three CDs are available to buy featuring a whole range of familiar piano duet pieces and original commissions. Titled 'Gems 1', 'Gems 2' and 'Live in Concert', these are a great addition to any music library.
