REPERTOIRE
Anne and Geoffrey are always adding to repertoire, including reviving works from archive. One special interest is composers’ own arrangements for piano duet of their own and other composers’ works for other forces. This list of works for piano duet (four hands on one piano) includes arrangements/transcriptions. A repertoire list of works for two pianos is also available. |
Please ask if a work you would like to hear in a recital is not in the list.................
Both Anne and Geoffrey have books of duet arrangements published and can arrange specially requested items.

Recitals and presentations can be themed for example by composer, country, era or topic.
One topic idea --The Dance from different countries or historically through the centuries from the minuet and viennese waltz to toe-tapping rumba and tango. Another -- linking music with Art, in particular the Impressionists.
One presentation tells the story of Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt putting the pieces of incidental music by Grieg in the relevant places.
Another presentation is a series of pieces which evoke instruments of the orchestra, the piano imaginatively becoming ‘an orchestra in a box’.
For cocktail/’palm court’/background music there are duet arrangements of songs from the shows and films, Cole Porter, Scott Joplin Rags, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lloyd Webber.
